How to Care for Clip-In Hair Extensions

Clip-ins, Fill-Ins, and Ponytails are designed for occasional wear rather than everyday use. To keep them looking their best, we recommend cleansing them every 10–15 wears to remove product build-up. If you’re looking for extensions suitable for daily wear, we’d love for you to explore our professional range.

Cleansing & Styling

Clip-in extensions typically only need cleansing every 10–15 wears - if at all. To maintain their quality, avoid excessive washing and use sulphate-free, alcohol-free shampoos and conditioners. Lightweight products, such as Silicone Spritz, can help replenish moisture lost from heat styling, keeping your extensions soft and manageable.

Choose the Right Hair Brush

Gently brush your extensions with a loop brush or wide-tooth comb, starting from the ends and working your way up to prevent tangles.

Remember to brush your hair extensions each time you take them out of their box and before you pop them back to keep them tangle free. Just be sure to brush from the ends up!

Style with Care

Just like your natural hair, you need to make sure you’re protecting your hair extensions from heat damage when styling. Using too much heat can lead to breakage as your extensions do not get the same supply of natural oils as your own hair. Always apply heat protectant, and keep the temperature below 180°C (350°F) to avoid damaging the extensions.

Storing Your Extensions

When not in use, store your Clip-In extensions flat or hang them on a hanger in a cool, dry place to maintain their shape and prevent tangling.
